Rentals Terms

a) 3rd Party Insurance: Vehicles are covered by 3rd party insurance in accord to Cyprus Law. This policy covers damages to other vehicles or persons resulted by the driver’s fault.

It doesn’t covers the damages to the rental vehicle which means the driver has to remunerate the company according to the leasing  agreement from an amount not exceeding the maximum excess. Because of restrictions in the insurance system no rental office can offer full insurance for hired vehicles. 

This insurance policy also covers the drivers and the company’s vehicle in the event a 3rd party vehicle or person is deemed responsible for the damage.

b) Breakdowns: (i) In case of a breakdown, the company will promptly respond and provide support by repairing instantly or replacing your bike.

(ii) Charges or penalties can be applied in case the Vehicle Usage Conditions (V.U.C see below) are ignored and for recovery services in remote areas outside Paphos.

(iii) Charges are applied for providing providing support in case fuel runs out or a flat tire.

The amount depends on the distance and variable costs incurred to the company for a fast recovery service

(iv) Vehicles are fully maintained and checked prior to renting out, the company is not obliged to offer partial or full refund in case of any type of breakdown unless in the exception of applying a goodwill policy.

c) Early Returns/Cancellations: No refunds are given for early returns or cancellations.

d) Late Returns: Any unreasonable late returns will be followed by a €10 charge per hour. Client can contact the company in advance for an unexpected delay to avoid penalties.

e) Road Fines: Any road fines are driver’s responsibility to pay at the appropriate authority office or directly at the company.

f) Damages: Any damages or breakdowns inflicted by driving off-road (i.e. Akamas), ignoring the vehicle usage conditions (VUC), driver’s negligence, extreme or dangerous driving will have to be fully covered by the driver.

g) Driver’s Responsibility: Drivers are expected to monitor their vehicle before and during the rental period.  This include oils check up in case of long term, tire condition, temperature and report swiftly in case there is a problem. Failure to report could lead to an increase safety risk or further damages to the vehicle in which case charges can be made. (i.e. driving with fully deflated tire)

h) Day Hire/Returning: 1 day rental is a working day and is from 09:00 until 5pm. 2 days or more the hired vehicle is returned the next day at closing time and can be kept overnight. Special exceptions outside this time frame can be made upon request.

i) The Right to Decline: The company has the right to cancel a reservation and also to decline providing services before or during the rental  period. This can be in case of not satisfactory driving experience and in case the company deems right, minding various risks, that driver(s) is not fit to drive.

i) Order request: A motorcycle rental request through our website’s calendar does not mean an instant reservation since it requires approval and a payment to be completed.

Vehicle Usage Conditions (V.U.C)

-Buggies/Quads are for use only within Paphos city and designated coastal areas. Company may prohibit driving to certain locations known for highly dangerous driving conditions.

-Scooters 50cc-125cc are for use within a certain ration from in Paphos tourist area (20-25km ration). Rental cancellation and Penalty up to 500 Euros can be incurred for driving any scooter to off road tracks such Akamas Peninsula, Adonis Waterfalls and Blue Lagoon.

-Scooters and other street based vehicles such as cruisers and touring motorcycles are strictly for asphalt road use only.

Off road driving (i.e. Lara Bay, Akamas, Blue Lagoon or Adonis Waterfalls) is not permitted with these vehicles and a 500 Euro penalty or the full deposit amount will be instantly charged. This amount can be higher in case there are further damages.

-Driving any vehicle on the beach sand is not allowed as it may cause serious damages to the vehicle

-Loss of key will result to a charge for replacement plus locksmith services expenses if needed. Loss of other equipment (i.e. helmets, security locks) will cost accordingly.

-Driving to the occupied area of the island also known as ‘North’ is not allowed primarily for safety and insurance reasons.

-Extreme, fast or dangerous driving is not accepted and the company can confiscate the vehicle without refund.

–Under Cyprus law passengers on quad bikes, mopeds and motorcycles must be no under 12 years old.

Disclaimer for Guided Safari Tours

-Only drivers with a full drivers license can operate the vehicle (provisional not accepted).

-The company reserves the right to decline participation even after a booking is made through any booking channel. That is in case it deems necessary to avoid dangerous or risky individuals or groups. This will come with a full refund for those declined.

-Upon discretion and in case is necessary, the company might ask for a secure deposit of 500 Euros per vehicle. That is returned at the end of the tour

-Health issues such as breathing related, allergies or other that could affect the ability of the driver or passenger to participate must be reported to the guider.

-Participants drive under their own responsibility. Dangerous driving (i.e. speeding, drifting, maneuvering) is putting self and others in danger and is strictly not accepted. Guider can ultimately stop the tour and not allow further driving without any refund.

-Trespassing the guider is strictly not allowed.

-Any damages caused from negligent or dangerous driving have to be covered by the driver.

-Drivers must follow the guider’s instructions for the overall safety of the tour.

-In the event of a breakdown during the tour the support team will attempt to repair the vehicle at the spot or replace it if necessary.

-No refund is given in the event of a breakdown

-The route as seen in some promotional brochures can be altered slightly due bad road conditions or other obstacles.

-The length of the tour is estimated on average, it can take longer or less depending on traffic, size of group, terrain conditions.
